Welcome to Vodka and Voodoo, a roleplay made of magic and mystery. Set in the city of sin - Las Vegas. As five lives combine, a power is set to hit Vegas that the world hasn't seen since the 1600's. This takes a whole new meaning to what happens in Vegas. Secrets and lies combined with the things that go bump in the night are almost more of a gamble than you'll find in any of the casinos. Are you ready?

This vivacious little thief can often be found roaming the streets of Vegas, maneuvering her way through back alleys, and crashing in abandon warehouses. She tends to grift her way through life, and steal for money. Most of which goes to other kids. The rest she uses to get the insulin she needs as she's a diabetic, which explains why no one ever really wanted to adopt her. Most people want healthy kids--not broken ones.
FRIENDS
Tams is an epic friend. Once she's on your team, it's forever that team she'll defend. She'll have their back, always come to their aid, and give her the shirt off her back if they need it. She may also wind up getting them into trouble.
ENEMIES
Authority figures? Jerks? Someone out to hurt her friends? Abusive prick? Frenemies? Fun times will have enemies abound. Seriously though, if you get on her bad side you may find itching powder in your jockstrap.
LOVERS
Because of Tam's condition she's less likely to fall in love and more likely to push people away. She hasn't had the best luck with her diabetes, often in and out of the hospital, and thus doesn't want to fall in love knowing she's probably going to die before the age of thirty.
She's a challenge.
Tamara is an exciting, fun filled, action packed kid--who often gets in trouble with the law, steals when she needs it, and has a soft spot for other kids in a bind. She tends to steal for them more often than not. She hates being sick, but tries to do her best despite that. Her favorite color is purple, she sneaks a cookie sometimes when she shouldn't, and has a tendency to have strange turn-of-phrases escape her lips. A great friend--and also very mischievous. As of now, she only thinks the supernatural world is something a crazy gypsy told her about.
Tamara is nothing if she's not vivacious. She has a thirst for life in all it's form. She always wants to have fun, and can often be found getting into trouble because of it. If someone is bored they can often look to Tamara to find something fun to do. She's full of ideas, though they might be a little wild and sort of crazy. So long as she's having fun though, Tamara doesn't care.
Spunky to the say the least. Tamara can be a firecracker. She's feisty, always standing up for friends she cares about and has a witty retort on the tip of her tongue. She often has colorful turn of phrases - they may or may not contain curse words. It really depends on the phrase.
Having had no actual family growing up, Tamara is very loyal to those in her life. She protects her friends, stands up for them, and always has their back. If she cant' have their back she makes sure someone else can. That's just how she rolls.
Tamara is a diabetic, but she doesn't let that get her down. Nor does she let much of anything really get her down. Maybe it's because she's always been sick, but she thrives for life and is somewhat an optimist. That being said she won't hesitate to say someone's bad news, but she tries not to let a bad situation get her down.
Tam's doesn't realize how easily she picks up languages. It doesn't take her long to pick it up at all which is why she can speak fluent French, Romany, and English. She's picked up bits of other languages on her way searching for her family as well.
As far as Tamara knows she's always been a kid in the system. Well that's not entirely true. Apparently her mom died when she was two, from something or the other. No one really knows for sure. Tamara wound up on the steps of a church, and from there straight into the system she went. Tamara considers that particular bit a blessing or else she might have ended up in a convent. She really couldn't imagine herself being raised to be a nun. Those black and white moomoo's are not at all flattering to anyone's figure.
Where were we?
Right! Two years old. Tamara's in the system. The little black haired, blue eyes Slavic girl was bounced around from group home to foster home, back to group home. Sure some of them weren't nice, but she doesn't let that hold her down. Shit happens and honestly, she doesn't feel the need to dwell on something that's over and done with.
However, at the time the vivacious young girl who was born with diabetes had no desire to be stuck in a bad situation. So she created a new one. Tamara ran away and lived on the streets. Sure she could have made a living doing dastardly or unsavory things, but she was smart, and considering how easy she is to make friends with, Tamara made a few friends. They squatted, they stole, and they did what they had to. Tamara has never done drugs, mainly because considering the fact that she's a diabetic, she probably would have died.
That hasn't stopped her from drinking though. She's careful with her blood sugar and their were free clinics where she could get her meds. She's hustled here or their, even pretending to be a Shaman or a spiritualist to cleanse someones home. People will pay top dollar to rid their homes of evil spirits, even if Tamara wasn't actually able to do so.
That's pretty much how her teen years went. Figuring out how to give people what they want without sacrificing anything of herself to give it to them. Every so often she was thrown back in a group home, but it was easy enough for her to slip away again. The truth was, Tamara could have had it worse and she knew.
She continued making contacts on the street, and boy did she make some good ones. It wasn't too long ago that she met someone by the name of Dakota Montgomery. The redheaded chick was pretty damn cool and offered to get Tamara her records.
Like she was gonna say no.
So Dakota did. All Tamara had to give her was a few bags of Skittles in return. Chick seriously has an addiction.
Anyways, Tamara found out that her mothers name was Lana Belova. A gypsy woman in fact, a nomad who traveled the world and saw exciting things. Not the records said any of that, but Tamara likes to dream. It did say her last known residence was in Las Vegas, Nevada. Which is apparently where she died. Murdered. Huh. That was a real doozy to Tamara.
Considering she was still in Las Vegas.
So Tamara did a little digging, used a few contacts and found out her mom was part of a Gypsy Caravan who lived just on the outskirts of the city. Apparently pretending to be a psychic ran in the family and was good money. She asked about, and was recognized by a few and heard a lot of stories about how her mother died , but no one seemed to know who her father was.
Tamara just wanted the truth.
The story the gypsy's gave her about her mother's death was vague at best. Something about demons and monsters, and blah blah blah. Tamara wasn't sure what to make of it. So instead she set out to find her father, hoping he had more answers for her. Tamara has friends in low places and knows eventually those contacts will pay off.
